In the past, member of an idol group have an “unwritten rule” for dating, that it can’t be made public, or they even have to pretended not to know each other. In the old days if those oppas and unnies caught in a picture together, it might cause a love scandal, but now it has changed. Member of an idol group can date on public or even announced their marriage. And tvN took the advantage on this change of reality.

We thought that with the idol group’s overlap activities there’s an opportunity for them to get along since they often to run into each other, but apparently it wasn’t well. Rather than “friends” there are more “colleagues” to maintain a proper distance. Thus you can found in <The Romantic & Idol> that is oriented for an ‘internal-date’ like love at the set. So let’s hear ZE:A Park Hyungsik‘s behind the story of 4 days and 3 nights in Jeju who has received a lot of attention on <The Romantic & Idol> season 1.

I can’t watch the broadcast, my hands and feet were shrivel [nervous and shy], (laugh) all of the peoples around me said it was fun. They said want to be appeared (in the show) as well. The members say it seems to be a good encounter. The 8 casts are very nice and gentle, and the program seems so cooperative. The show want to put into the cast’s true feelings. Everyone is different but they have their own charm.

The Romantic (& Idol): could romance really blossom by similar tastes?not the appearance?!

So, how did I end up watch this shows? I accidentally watch the show while waiting new drama to come, and surprisingly this show is beautifully shot, with romantic script, picturesque set, beautiful casts, in word “my heart is flutter”. The show has a very romantic feel, there were plenty of heart pounding, at times, toe curling moments to spare. it’s like watching drama with your emotional involved,, it’s been a while since i felt this way, feels like wanna fall in love again, lol

tvN is really no joke, for 1st season they took place in Croatia (am loss for word to describe how beautiful the shot they took *O*), 2nd season was in Turkey, and the current season ‘The Romantic’, which featured non-celebrity bachelors and bachelorettes previously, has decided to air a spin-off, ‘The Romantic & Idol‘, for its third season. This season was in Jeju island due to the idol’s tight schedule it’s impossible to go abroad, they even have to shortened to 4 days 3 nights. The first idol season was featuring 2PM‘s Jun.K, 4minute‘s Nam Jihyun, MBLAQ‘s Mir, ZE:A‘s Hyungsik, JJ Project‘s JB, Rainbow‘s Seung Ah, FIESTAR‘s Jei, and AOA‘s Hyejeong – wrapped up filming in October on Jeju Island.

I see myself in Reply 1997 : The unstoppable fangirl!!

The oldies are back! It’s a vintage drama that could bring back a flood of memories among viewers. Reply 1997 is a drama that aims to take 1st generation idol fans back to the times of H.O.T. and Sechs Kies, took set in Busan of the 1990s. Those who weren’t hardcore H.O.T. fans back in the day may have a hard time understanding some of the scene, so the producers are putting in the extra effort to help others understand this culture.

This drama is really reflection of a fangirl whether it’s in the past or the present, fangirl is fangirl. As a fangirl I can relate everything in Reply 1997 with myself, tho my era was started on 2nd generation idol (DBSK, Super Junior, SS501), in 1997 I was still in elementary school and was into Backstreet Boys and Boyzone that time. In Reply 1997, the female lead SiWon’s (Jung Eunji) nick is ‘the one and only Ahn Seung’s (H.O.T Tony’s real name) Wife’,lol.. guess what’s my nick back in 2007? Continue reading
